she was sorry to wake up; mercy.

i saw you first in a world conjured from haze

Today is one those days where i am strangled with words.
when i've a million things to say, drowning in a whirlpool of emotions.
Today is one of those days when i shut myself from the world,
just me, my headphones and a book.

I lived the day with my heads in the clouds,
my mind far away.
surrounded by people, yet oblivious to what's happening.
Today is one of those days where im in Paris or maybe Newyork,
strolling down a street, watching a story unfold in front of my eyes.

The only reality was that i spent an hour with a hungry stomach in the science homeroom solving chemistry.
it was written on my face that i had decided to just continue daydreaming despite sitting right in front of Mr ng's very tall presence.
well, that was until he repeated my name once, twice and then a countless of times.
i figured that teachers take on this particularly weird trend, of calling my name a million times in exasperation.
perhaps trying to say"earth to hanjing, please stop daydreaming", i guess.
at least that's what was written on my chemistry teacher's face; i gave him a blank look.
and he shrugged it off in annoyance saying "haiyo, i dont know what to do with you anymore".
to prevent his constant questions directed at me, i had to stop the dreaming.
at least i learnt a little about moles.

im tangled between a story.
a book called Mercy.
its disturbing, it tweeks at moral values.
would you kill your loved one if she told you to?

a smile, a decree.
