yes, i pluck the stars from the skies and keep them in a hidden jar.
Hello, i figured that the picture has no relation to whatever imma gonna post today.
but whatever, that jar of stars is pretty >:D
Yeah, as the title goes, imma talk bout how it feels like being a cg.
i realised i havent really talked about it before, no idea why.
Being a colorguard is..... hard.
im serious, some people think that it looks easy, some people think its crazy, some people dont care.
it takes a hell load of practice, time, strength and endurance.
You see, Colorguard isnt like playing an instrument, or dancing :O
or maybe it is, to certain extent.
There are essential basics in cg.
loads of them in fact.
and after mastering all the throwing and spins, you have to choreograph.
You squeeze out all your brain juices, watch a thousand videos, choose a song and make something out of it.
k you got your cheoreo done, nao you'll have to add in grace.
and being graceful while tossing a flag isnt exactly easy.
its like moving left and right at the same time.
Dead honest.
and grace cant be taught, its an au natural thing that you've to learn yourself.
-a lizard is climbing towards me, brb.-
k idk where it went.
so anyway, i guess the most difficult part of cg is coordination.
nope, not with yourself.
with others.
one cg playing on her own, is a wonderful solo.
but when 10 of them play together, its called Amazzzzing.
mhmm, you basically see flags spinning round and round together.
synchronization.
I wouldn't say that cg is a dance, there's something more to it.
i wouldn't say its much of a sport too.
its more of 50% circus performance without the fire and humor and 50% jazz and modern dance.
to be honest, its kinda like cardio exercises too (those yoga thing).
flexibility anyone?
Its fun being a cg.
fun, difficult, thrilling and impossibly exhausting.
apparently i find it more tiring doing a choreo on repeat for 5 times compared to like 10 rounds.
plus the muscle aches.
and sunburns.
But there must be something about all those that's appealing.
i mean, im still here.
*shrugs*
:D
maybe its just the whole abstractness and uniqueness of it.
hahahahah, maybe some of you guys have already gotten out of here.
those who are reading this whole chunk, i applaud you.
probably boring for those not in band/cg or what not.
Just a comment though, i still hate band for taking away my free time/secondary school life k.
joking, i could make do with more holiday though.
alright, my throat's really killing me.
been sneezing all day with a painful throat. oh and one more last question, is it normal to feel some weird cold feeling in your lungs when you're sprinting? it makes it difficult to breathe while dashing my rounds sometimes and idk if its just the weather D:<
