crazy materialistic world.

34 Hello there, im here cause i wanted to voice out bout this thingy that has been going on for awhile.

EXPENSIVE CLOTHES does not equate to class/status.

However so many of us (teeeeens) seem to believe that branded clothes are the way to go.
and that cheaper ones are just meehh.

Wrong theory la.

Maybe i would be offending some of you people, please dont get mad at me.
or if you do, then #likethatlor.

I realise that guys especially, feel that brands give them this air of superiority.
If you are a guy who thinks that way too... it's bull k.
It just makes you a rich kid that's irresponsible cause you're throwing your parents money on unecessary things.
This kinda guy just dont appeal yknow.
The girls are probably thinking "wth, you're only sixteen dude. use your money to treat your friend to a meal or donate to charity or something la."
#justsaying.

But honestly, especially for guys, brands are plain stupid.
maybe their quality of apparel do differ from the streetwears, but you're only sixteen and its casual clothes, dont spend hundreds on a shirt for pete's sake!
girls dont realise you're wearing gold btw.

As for girls, its pretty much the same theory la.
sure you may say im a hypocrite cause i buy stuff from f21/h&m and other higher end brands, BUT my argument is that those are occasional splurges i make on special occasions -such as my bdae-.

Buying expensive clothes is not a bad thing if you do have the capability of doing so, but dont belittle cheaper clothes sold in normal shops!
It's really snobbish behaviour if you were to do that.
Its not true that secondhand stuff or cheap clothes are of lower class k.
If you have the gust to style them in trend, *volia* it still becomes a nice outfit!

Especially secondhand stuff sold at flea markets, some people judge them as "filthy old clothes" but usually that's not the case.
The clothes sold at flea markets are pretty much the same as blogshops.
they are clothes which owners no longer fit into, or just want to sell.
I do blogshopping all the time, and most of the time these clothes are preloved or something.
They are good as brandnew i swear.

In my opinion, we're still studying and living off our parents so we shouldn't spend money unwisely.
You can use your own savings to buy a little gift for yourself, but dont make it a habit!
it's not healthy eh.
Plus Chanels, LVs, Guccis and all are not that suitable for our age group eh...
#justsayingagain.

Certain things are better worth when its branded though.
like perfume.
im not saying that all cheap perfumes are not nice, but they mostly smell weird in my opinion.
I was at the deparmental store and shopping for a scent the other day.
The scents were priced around 15 dollars.
Damn, they smelled so awful.
I tried every freaking one of them k.
smelled like weird detergents.

I was trying to find a full size bottle of parfume.
and the only cheaper alternative was a body spray from the Victoria Secrets range.
(to me VS is a brand in a way, soooo yah)
But it isnt expensive though, around 20 bucks?
Pretty good for a full size bottle though its just a body spray.

You see, i've a couple mini parfums from burberry, fendi and armani and they smelled so much better than the cheap ones i tried.
So for things such as perfumes, facial washes and all, i do think that their quality is really worth the price.
Yes im still lusting for VeraWang's and DKNY's perfume.
*sighs*

I might sound contradicting in this entry, but all i wanna say is dont discriminate against cheaper stuff!
brands cant determine anyone's class k. (for our age group la.)

Right, im done talking. :D
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR FOLKS!
collect loads of cash and start planning how much to save and spend eh (:

OH AND I STAYED UP TILL AROUND 4AM AND WOKE UP AT 6AM TODAY.
SUPER PROUD OF MYSELF.
IM DEAD TIRED THOUGH.

TATA.
PEACE Y. 35 36 37 38
