trust, yourself.

34
It's true.
when you need someone to hear you out, talk to yourself.

when you need approval from someone, approve yourself.

when you need somebody you can trust, trust yourself.

You, wont hurt yourself.

You, wont disapprove of yourself.

The world has its weird and unfair ways.
Not everyone's going to like you.
But you can like yourself, you can have your own fanclub, you can support yourself.
whatever it is, you're never alone.

You, have You.

Feeling like an emotional wreck right now.
actually i feel like i brought it all upon myself.
Contradicting myself, always.

My little sister got bullied in school today.
She got vulgarities hurled at in the middle of the canteen.
As the crazy "friend" of hers degraded her in front of everybody, she simply did nothing but cowered behind her palms.
After the dramatic episode, the Bully simply sat down on the other table, and all of my sister's friends left to eat with her.

This isnt the first time.
She got her entire table flipped over the other time, she's constantly in fear of this little witch that is capable of commanding the entire herd of senseless girls.

It pissed me off real bad.
this whole drama.
I hated the fact that my sister did nothing and just sat there crying away.
She did nothing wrong damnit, why did she have to be the one feeling all miserable??

I talked to the little Witch afterwards, texted her.
that little wimp has quite a mean mouth i swear.
had to contain myself from just shooting her in and out cause she's only a small kid. (though one with amazingly huge guts)
Chh.
Told her that if the two of them didnt like each other, they could just be strangers. There was no need for a shameless showdown.

I hate bullies.
They're mean people who often dont realise how much their words/actions could hurt.

I'm getting into something rather personal, and i've never really shared this w anyone so...

I got bullied when i was in primary one/two.
Back then I was given $1.50 for my lunch money everyday, and it was quite a lot of money to a 7 year old.
This girl, Emma (it's not her real name, but i still wanna protect her privacy so..) would get me to give my lunch money to her during recess time.

It started out with just fifty cents or so, and i would just hand it to her just to escape from the confrontation. She was a large kid, and her dad had a tattoo.
(yes i know getting inked is nothing now, but when i was 7 it was literally like "BAD GUY".)

She freaked me out.
Gradually the daily extortion came in larger sums, a dollar, a dollar and fifty, two dollars, and then once, 5 dollars.
When i refused to give her the money, claiming that i didn't have any left, she would shove and pinch me in the arm.
Maybe she didn't realise it, but her strength for her size is really a lot compared to my scrawny thin self back then...
She left bruises on me and i didnt want my parents to know i got hit so i simply gave in.

It lasted for a month or so, and i never told anyone about it.
One day she got caught for stealing and the next day i never saw her in school again.
Thank god for that.

I know it sounds rather minor and laughable but it really scared me back then.
I didnt know that i was such an easy target simply because i never dared to stand up for myself.

I think that section of my life really changed me.
It wasnt that much of a change at first but thinking back now, i think it's the reason why i'm always so shut up about my own problems.

I never tell them to my parents if it's possible, i learn as much as i can on my own, and i dont cry in front of my family.

Im not sure if it's pride or just some in built mechanism but there's this invisible barrier that surrounds me. Some days when i feel so overwhelmed and tired, i would try to look for my mum to talk. But every time i try to, the words wont slip out and they stay glued to my tongue. It drives me crazy sometimes.

Days like today for example.
My parents weren't very happy that i was helping my sis and lecturing her about the importance of standing up for herself.
Sure i was yelling for a bit, but they said i should just leave her alone and let the problem pass by itself.
I got super frustrated.

I cant get myself to tell them why i minded so much nor could i blame them for being insensitive cause they know nuts about the primary school bullying crap. Was on the verge of tears and screaming yet i had to make up some dumb excuse that i had to shower and lock myself in the bathroom before whimpering my heart out under the water.

It hurts so bad when you want to speak but you can't yknow.
It hurts even more when your Dad complains that you're too quiet yet claims that you talk too much when you do.

I've no solution for this pathetic contradicting state that i am in, but really guys,

Trust yourself.
You are the best friend you can ever find.

peace y, have a good day
it would be nice to have more happy people in the world. 35 36 37 38
